Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our surgical team at Midwest Vision Partners. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient understanding of disease process and need for surgical intervention
- Perform perioperative teaching to patients and their families
- Provide appropriate nursing management and intervention in the perioperative period
- Prepare operating rooms, ensure availability of needed supplies and equipment, and maintain a safe working environment
- Provide safe medication administration and manipulate patient positions as needed
- Perform surgical prep according to standard of care and surgeon preference
- Anticipate equipment and supply needs based on surgeon preference
- Handle and document specimens per policy
- Participate in medical records QAPI and maintain active professional relationships with physicians and patients
- Active LPN license
- BLS and ALS certification
- Desirable: IV skills
