Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Nurse Leader to join our team at Akron Children's Hospital. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide exceptional nursing care and leadership to our patients and families.
Responsibilities
1. Provide leadership and guidance to our clinical staff, promoting a collaborative team approach to deliver high-quality patient care.
2. Develop and implement education programs for staff members on clinically related issues, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.
3. Participate in the evaluation process of clinical staff, assessing their competency and providing feedback for growth and development.
4. Work closely with patients and families as an advocate for health maintenance, promoting a positive public image and exceptional customer service.
5. Demonstrate expertise in pediatric ambulatory care, utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various levels within the organization.
Requirements
1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; candidates without a BSN must obtain the degree within 5 years from date of hire.
2. Current certification in Basic Life Support training from the American Heart Association is required.
3. Valid, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio is required, with a Multistate License (MSL) preferred.
4. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, with supervisory experience preferred but not required.
