Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Autonomous Systems Verification Engineer to join our team at Waymo. As a key member of our Systems Engineering group, you will be responsible for developing and implementing verification and validation strategies for our autonomous vehicle platforms.

About the Role

In this hybrid role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and execute test plans, develop technical training programs, and lead the qualification of new Waymo driver software releases. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with experts in various domains, including power systems, thermal management, user experience, networks, body controls, and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

* Develop strategy for Verification and Validation of Vehicle Systems
* Plan and schedule V&V campaigns based on the scope of Requirements
* Provide technical training to other Test Engineers to grow the team's collaborative ability
* Lead the qualification of new Waymo driver SW releases for the Vehicle Test Engineering team

Requirements

* 3+ years experience in Project management
* Collaborated with your Team and Partners
* 3+ years experience in Test planning and experimental design, especially designing for safety and repeatability
* 3 + years experience in data analysis and test scripting/automation experience (C/C++, Python, Matlab/Simulink)
* Bachelor or Master's degree in a relevant engineering or a related field (including ME, EE, CS, Robotics, Controls, Aerospace) or equivalent practical experience

What We Offer

* Competitive salary range: $183,000 - $232,000 USD
* Eligibility to participate in Waymo's discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements
