Job Summary:

The Materials Control Technician is responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sampling and distribution of incoming raw materials, components, and in-process batch samples
  • Prepare laboratory packages and project data entry for laboratory testing
  • Develop sampling plans for retains and submission to the laboratory based on specification methodology
  • Assist with problem-solving for transaction discrepancies and track project status
  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments
  • Use multiple computer software programs to log in, manage, and maintain material status and testing requirements
  • Perform peer review and work efficiently in a team setting
  • Add or remove material from the electronic inventory system
  • Identify hazardous materials and controlled substances
  • Process and maintain inventory for retained samples for raw materials and finished product
  • Ship finished product and clinical and commercial batches
  • Follow applicable SOPs and cGMPs to perform assigned duties and tasks
  • Ensure timely completion and compliance with cGMP and all other relevant company training requirements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required with 4+ years of related experience
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Prior pharmaceutical or CDMO and hazardous goods experience preferred

Working Conditions:

The Materials Control Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, burn hazards, and microbial contamination. The employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment for specific job duties.
