Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily fluoroscopy patient operations, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Prepare patients for examination, including vital signs and urine pregnancy tests, to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.
  • Prepare procedure trays and set up equipment to perform each procedure, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide effective patient teaching and support, maintaining a calm and compassionate demeanor at all times.
  • Closely follow physician instructions to ensure accurate and high-quality images are obtained.
  • Monitor patient physical condition during procedures, identifying any potential issues or concerns.
  • Review procedure results with physicians and follow up as ordered, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation of each procedure, including radiation dose, area treated, and patient reaction.
  • Maintain equipment and procedure rooms, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Keep inventory of supplies and equipment, ordering as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and research, contributing to the advancement of our medical services.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from an accredited radiology program.
  • Certified Radiology Technician (ARRT-R) certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Radiology Technician experience, with previous HSG experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office and clinical setting, with frequent use of medical instrumentation and equipment. The position requires occasional exertion of up to 75 pounds of force and/or up to 35 pounds of force frequently.

The employee is regularly required to talk, see, and hear, and frequently required to sit, stand, and walk. Close visual acuity is necessary to perform tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, and operating standard office and imaging machines and equipment.
