The County of Contra Costa, California is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Cytotechnologist within the Clinical Laboratory Services. This role is pivotal in supporting our commitment to delivering comprehensive healthcare.

As a Senior Cytotechnologist, you will engage in various Anatomic Pathology procedures and manage patient samples within our Laboratory Information Systems. Your expertise will contribute to the quality control of cytology and the maintenance of assurance records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct molecular testing for Human Papillomavirus.
  • Oversee daily operations within a fully functional Anatomic Pathology Department.
  • Guide and direct the work of other laboratory staff.

Applicants should possess a minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in a laboratory setting performing cytologic tests and analyses.
