GI Specialist

Job Summary:
The GI Technical Specialist is a vital member of our endoscopy team, responsible for assisting with procedures and providing direct patient care. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with endoscopic procedures and provide direct patient care before, during, and after procedures.
- Clean and maintain all endoscopic instruments and equipment.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with patient transportation and other related tasks.
Requirements:
- At least a high school diploma or equivalency with at least one year of patient care experience in a healthcare facility.
- Successful completion of the SGNA modules for GI Technical Specialist within a specified time frame desired.
- Ability to understand and implement detailed instructions in the execution of therapeutic procedures.
- Ability to make accurate physical observations of patients.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support certification within 2 weeks of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, either from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross.
