Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner
The Heart Center is in search of a dedicated Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner to enhance its established cardiology team. The selected Nurse Practitioner (NP) will play a crucial role in delivering electrophysiology clinical services, focusing on the assessment and monitoring of patients with Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs), including pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive physical examinations for both inpatient and outpatient cardiology patients as directed by supervising physicians.
2. Formulate diagnoses and develop individualized care plans, including the ordering of necessary tests, diagnostics, and medications.
3. Manage ordered tests, ensuring timely communication of patient results and coordination of additional required testing.
4. Oversee the monitoring of devices, including interrogation, management, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
5. Assist in device implantation processes, which may involve pre-operative assessments, addressing complications, and managing inpatient care and discharges.
6. Perform daily monitoring and management of remote device monitoring websites, including investigation and triage of transmissions.
7. Evaluate urgent CIED patients and provide immediate care as needed.
8. Train registered nurses, technicians, and fellow NPs on electrophysiology fundamentals and the assessment of patients with electrophysiological abnormalities, emphasizing the management and reprogramming of CIEDs.
9. Conduct Tilt Table Testing in accordance with established protocols.
10. Develop and implement clinical protocols for device management.
11. Participate in clinical research planning and execution.
Qualifications:
- New York State License and Board Certification required.
- Prior cardiology experience is preferred, though training will be provided for the right candidate.

Work Schedule:

Salary Range:
$105,000 - $150,000 annually.
