About the Role

As a Research Engineer in Deposition Processes at Air Liquide, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team driving innovation in semiconductor material development. Your primary focus will be on designing, synthesizing, and characterizing electronic materials, as well as developing atomic layer deposition processes for Air Liquide precursors and etching processes for Etchants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement deposition processes for semiconductor applications, including chemical vapor deposition and atomic layer deposition.
  • Conduct surface analysis of thin film deposition processes using techniques such as ellipsometry, FTIR, SEM, XPS, and others.
  • Analyze data and generate reproducible data sets to support research and development goals.
  • Present research findings during weekly sub-group meetings, group meetings, and at the end of the VIE program to center.
  • Collaborate with business partners to update progress on projects and present results.
  • Perform literature and patent searches to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Contribute to writing internal technical research reports and present results during internal scientific review and patents.
  • Manage technical communication between R&D, outside partners, and Air Liquide partners.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Material Science, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Experience with machine learning and proficiency in Python, as well as classic libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Scikit-learn, Statsmodels, and OR-Tools.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently after on-boarding and project trainings.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and expectations.
