We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our investments team as an Investment Analyst. This role will involve supporting the incubation process from idea generation and selection to launch and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Startup Evaluation: Source, evaluate, and select startups for the incubation program, conducting due diligence on prospective startups, including business model analysis, financial assessment, and technology evaluation.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the AI sector, analyzing competitive landscapes and assessing the potential impact on incubated startups.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the performance metrics of incubated startups, preparing detailed reports and presentations on startup progress, highlighting key insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Strategic Support: Collaborate with advisors and industry experts to provide strategic support to incubated startups, assisting in organizing and facilitating workshops, training sessions, and networking events for the decentralized AI community.
- Feedback Analysis: Gather and analyze feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve the program.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders across various groups, including Operations, Trading, Platform, Legal, and Accounting.
- Relationship Building: Maintain strong relationships with startups, investors, and corporate partners.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience post-college.
- Interest in AI: Demonstrated interest in decentralized AI; prior experience in AI is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, market research, and financial modeling.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and technologies, proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Python, R, SQL).
- Team Player: Team player capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for Innovation: Passion for innovation and supporting early-stage startups.
- Location: Must be able to work from our Stamford, CT office at least 2-days per week.
