Job Summary

OPTiM is seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team in Savannah. As a Radiology Tech, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical imaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Protect patients, yourself, and other staff from radiation hazards, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Operate radiographic equipment to take X-rays, implementing infection control procedures and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Select the appropriate ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis, adjusting and setting radiographic controls as needed.
  • Position patients and take X-rays of specific body parts, checking for clarity and retaking when necessary.
  • Distribute X-rays to medical staff, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure X-ray units meet regulatory standards, making minor adjustments and repairs as required.
  • Clean and maintain radiographic equipment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
Requirements
  • Current license with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
