Position Summary:

In this role, you will leverage Power BI tools to develop visually compelling reports and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather report requirements and ensure the delivery of high-quality reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in SQL, user interface design, and effective communication skills. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R, as well as experience with JD Edwards, is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, develop, and deploy interactive and visually appealing reports utilizing Power BI tools.
  • Design and implement robust semantic models in Power BI, including the creation of relationships, calculated columns, and measures.
  • Maintain and enhance existing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in underlying SQL queries.
  • Provide collaborative technical support to business users regarding reporting inquiries and issues.
  • Engage with business leaders to clarify report requirements and expectations.
  • Manage project timelines effectively to meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in Power BI development, including proficiency in Power BI Report Builder, Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Service, as well as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Strong skills in writing advanced SQL queries, including the use of window functions, group by, and common table expressions (CTEs).
  • Solid understanding of user interface design principles and data visualization best practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Python and/or R is a plus.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards is a plus.
