Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing capabilities, playing a crucial role in their recovery.
  • Effectively communicate patient progress and any concerns to supervisors and interdisciplinary team members; assist with patient scheduling and ensure accurate daily documentation.
  • Maintain thorough and compliant documentation of patient care in line with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Educate patients' families and nursing staff on follow-up care and rehabilitation strategies.
  • Ensure that therapy equipment and workspaces are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition.
  • Adhere to the organization's Code of Conduct, compliance agreements, and relevant legal and professional standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program recognized by the Education Standards Board or meeting ASHA certification criteria.
  • Fulfill educational and experiential prerequisites for ASHA's Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology.
  • A minimum of six months of experience as a Speech Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist, particularly with adult and geriatric populations.
  • Possess a current and valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.
  • Hold a valid CPR certification.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and communication abilities.

Compensation range: $48 - $58 per hour, with potential for variation based on specific circumstances.
