We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced culinary professional to join our team at the University of Wisconsin - Parkside. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including entrees, sides, and desserts
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and high-quality food
- Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance the dining experience
- At least one year of experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a high-volume setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
