We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate NICU Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement and evaluate care for infants in the NICU
- Attend deliveries, perform neonatal stabilization and admission assessments, and create discharge plans
- Administer medications, complete treatments, and provide education to families on homecare and treatments
- Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Neonatologists to ensure safe and accurate delivery of care
- Delegate work to non-licensed staff and provide support and education to families
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Experience in an acute care setting, preferably in a NICU
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Preferred qualifications include Registered Nurse, Certified in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNC-NIC) and S.T.A.B.L.E. Neonatal Education Program Certification
