Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the design and construction of both residential and commercial structures. This role involves investigating the causes and extent of construction defects, structural failures, and water intrusions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations and analyses of residential, commercial, and industrial properties to resolve claims and legal disputes.
  • Engage in assignments related to contract disputes, installation deficiencies, material shortcomings, site evaluations, and structural assessments.
  • Gather photographic evidence and document on-site conditions, oversee field-testing, and review historical documentation.
  • Prepare comprehensive oral and written reports detailing the causes of failures, extent of losses, and recommended remediation strategies.
  • Provide expert opinions and testimony in litigation matters.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain productive client relationships.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 6-10 years of relevant experience.
  • PE License in Florida is required; NCEES record is preferred.
  • Willingness to undergo training in specified areas for approximately three months.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is desirable.
  • Experience in providing testimony and handling litigation/investigation is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural and engineering principles, as well as construction practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey engineering and architectural issues clearly.
  • Ability to travel as required, with mileage and expenses covered for overnight trips.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform inspections in confined spaces, including building roof structures.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000, contingent upon education, experience, location, and certifications/licensure.
