Position Title: Quality Control Inspector
The Quality Control Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring that products meet established standards and specifications. This position involves conducting thorough inspections and packaging products according to client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:- Adhere to safety protocols and promptly report any hazardous conditions or mechanical issues to the Shift Supervisor.
- Familiarize yourself with the product line, understanding its functionality and identifying any potential defects that could impact performance.
- Conduct production verifications at the beginning of each order and at the start of every shift.
- Perform required visual inspections at the start of each shift and at intervals defined by the data acquisition system, alerting the Manufacturing Coordinator immediately if defects are detected.
- Utilize data acquisition tools to identify necessary gauging during production runs to maintain quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records in the data acquisition system throughout the production process.
- Inspect items on conveyor systems and within product containers during the shift, conducting liner inspections as needed.
- Assist the Material Technician in ensuring that WIP hoppers are adequately stocked with parts.
- When applicable, regularly check the glue tank levels to ensure sufficient supply for machinery.
- Package and handle products according to specified manufacturing guidelines.
- Document scrap accurately and ensure it is placed in the appropriate containers.
- Support machine startups, shutdowns, and line clearances, minimizing downtime.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation by following good housekeeping practices.
- Participate in training new team members and undertake additional tasks as assigned.
- Engage in Lean initiatives and safety programs.
- Comply with Food Safety and cGMP regulations.
- Hard Skills: Experience in a production environment, material handling, and inspection.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, effective teamwork, and good communication abilities.
This is a Contract-to-Hire role.
Work Environment:Contractors will frequently work around moving mechanical components and may encounter equipment that vibrates. Hearing protection is necessary due to noise levels in the environment. The workspace is clean, climate-controlled, and offers good air quality.
Shifts:Shifts are structured as 12-hour shifts with three-day weekends off, alternating weekends.
Compensation:Competitive pay rates with opportunities for increases based on performance evaluations.
