Job Title: Hardware PCB CAD Layout Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware PCB CAD Layout Engineer to join our team at Apple. As a key member of our SiVal CAD team, you will design boards for our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient SoCs. You will work on world-class CPU, GPU, Analog/Mixed Signal, and SOC designs by designing test platforms for future Apple products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and layout high-density printed circuit boards (PCBs) using Cadence Allegro.
  • Place high-density and high-quantity components.
  • Incorporate Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT) principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality PCB designs.
  • Resolve PCB design issues with fabrication and manufacturing vendors.

Requirements:

  • Strong PCB CAD layout experience.
  • Expertise using Cadence Allegro for multi-layer PCB layout.
  • Detailed knowledge of mixed-signal PCB design layout, PCB manufacturing, and PCB assembly technologies and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or related degree program with 10 years of proven experience.
