About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Ellis Medicine. As a key member of the perioperative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field, passing instruments and assisting the surgeon within their scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with other members of the perioperative team to utilize resources in a cost-effective manner.
  • Adhere to the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) Code of Ethics and apply knowledge of advanced surgical techniques.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to advance practice and maintain certification.
  • Exhibit professional behaviors and skills in the surgical environment, following through with assignments and instructions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or licensed as a Practical Nurse in New York State.
  • Graduates of accredited surgical technology programs must hold nationally accredited certification or be eligible for certification.
  • Employed as a Surgical Technologist for a minimum of two (2) years.
What We Offer

Competitive salary range: $22.28-$32.31/hour PLUS an additional $10/hour with certification. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education.

Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
