Job Title: Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at the University of Washington Medical Center. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images using the latest technology.

Job Summary:

The Radiology Technologist will work independently to produce diagnostic images, follow safety protocols, and ensure patient comfort and confidentiality. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining mammography equipment, troubleshooting minor problems, and reporting equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.

Responsibilities:
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images using mammography equipment
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure patient comfort and confidentiality
  • Operate and maintain mammography equipment
  • Troubleshoot minor problems and report equipment malfunctions to the supervisor
  • Screen patients for contrast contraindications prior to exam
  • Use markers for all imaging
  • Follow department protocols for all imaging studies
  • Initiate and participate in Final Verification/Time Out with all staff members present for any invasive procedures
Requirements:
  • Certified by the State of Washington as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Satisfactory completion of formal technology training in an AMA approved school, registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR equivalent education/experience
  • Registered by ARRT as a Mammography Technologist, before completion of probationary period
