Insurance Account Manager

As a Personal Lines Account Manager at Truist, you will be responsible for building and maintaining key client and carrier relationships. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong service orientation, and the ability to resolve client and company problems. You will also be responsible for leading the marketing of accounts, preparing marketing information, and presenting options to clients. Additionally, you will need to be proficient in client management systems and able to update policies, log activities, and document client meetings. This role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training, as well as five years of relevant insurance industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships
Assist clients and staff with service questions related to administration, billing, claims issues, and problem solving
Continually seek cross-sell opportunities and suggest new lines of coverage
Work with producers and/or marketing account executives to monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned clients
Lead the marketing of accounts as requested by producers and/or marketing account executives
Prepare marketing information or provide required information to a marketing person
Complete the implementation process and prepare and deliver all applicable forms to clients
Formulate a plan with producers to conduct relationship management meetings and/or visits with assigned clients
Proficient in client management systems to update policies, log activities, and document client meetings
Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to keep abreast of new products available for clients and acquire expertise in legislative changes
Mentor team members

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training
Five years of relevant insurance industry experience
Appropriate insurance license(s)
Strong client relation skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients and market contacts
Ability to utilize leadership skills to provide direction, constructive feedback, development, and training while motivating others to maximize productivity and team morale
Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree
Certification in field of endeavor
Experience with Requests for Proposal
Benefits
All regular teammates working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
