Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mammography Interventional Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical procedures, including mammography and stereotactic breast biopsies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality mammography and stereotactic breast biopsy procedures, ensuring accurate and safe imaging results.
  • Position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and minimizing anxiety.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, adhering to infection control policies and departmental cleaning schedules.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with FDA/MQSA requirements and ACR Accreditation standards.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist, with preference given to those with experience in stereotactic breast biopsy procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
