Job Summary

The Lead Laborer plays a crucial role in supporting the Foreman or General Foreman in overseeing the day-to-day activities of the construction site. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to read and interpret instructions and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to lower-level craftsmen, including reassigning work delegated from supervisors.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety rules and procedures.
  • Participate in routine and turnaround plant maintenance projects and activities.
  • Support plant production activities, including receiving and shipping materials and products.
  • Prepare construction sites, pour and spread concrete, set forms, and finish surfaces.
Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions and procedures.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in a construction environment.

Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Assignment Length: 6 months with the possibility of extension based on performance and other factors.
Shift Details: 12 hours/day, 7 days a week, with a typical 2/2 or 3/3 schedule but subject to change.
