We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Associate to join our team at SGA Talent in Albany, NY. As a key member of our hospitality-focused staffing group, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency of our locations.

Job Overview

As a Facilities Associate, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our employees, clients, and visitors. This includes maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the premises, performing routine cleaning tasks, and assisting with the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms and events.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and window cleaning.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste materials in accordance with established procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms, events, and company functions.
  • Monitor and restock supplies in various areas, including restrooms and breakrooms.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department.
  • Assist in basic maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor repairs.
  • Support facility security by ensuring all doors and windows are properly secured at the end of each workday.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or related roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Good communication skills and a cooperative attitude.
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and bending.
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Reliable and punctual.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Comfortable with standing, walking, bending, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals.
