Proactive MD is seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a champion of our Patient Promise, you will be at the forefront of our clinical operations, supporting the health and wellness center's clinical and clerical operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with treatments ordered by the provider, performing select clinical duties under supervision.
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts, preparing treatment rooms for examination.
- Perform basic clerical duties, including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
- Manage materials, ordering and stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
- Document the provider's encounter with patients, listing diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association, valid for at least 90 days after start date.
- Ability to draw blood and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Must pass pre-employment background checks and drug screen.
