Byrne Dairy Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead our accounting team.

Job Summary

The Sr. Accounting Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of our company. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for completing assigned duties to ensure customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Responsible for developing and maintaining a best-in-class Balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of quarterly balance sheet forecasts and annual balance sheet budgets.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to existing processes and controls.
  • Audit Support: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Variance Analysis: Support variance analysis in support of monthly financial review.
  • Cash Flow Management: Assist in managing cash flow, including forecasting and monitoring cash balances.
  • Project Leadership: Lead key projects for the accounting team to drive both efficiency and accuracy of results and reporting.
  • Company Credit Card Program: Owner of company credit card program, policies, and procedures.
  • Dairy-Related Regulatory Reporting: Assist in supporting dairy-related regulatory reporting.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Accounting Control Procedures: Monitor the efficiency of accounting control procedures and adherence to the company's internal control policies, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Team Guidance: Provide guidance and support to direct reports.
  • Financial Policies: On the generation, review, and adherence to financial policies.
  • Performance Goals: Responsible for achieving assigned goals in safety, quality, performance, and cost.
  • GMP Compliance: Comply with GMPs, SOPs, corporate and/or plant policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Safety and Food Safety: Works safely and reports safety concerns promptly to their leadership team and takes corrective actions as necessary to ensure a safe environment.
  • Communication: Demonstrates strong communication skills across various departments, ensuring clear and effective collaboration.
  • Integrity and Confidentiality: High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Mathematical Concepts: Ability to apply basic to complex mathematical concepts such as adding, counting, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and knowledge of weights and measures, to sufficiently handle job tasks.
  • Office Management: Familiarity with office management procedures and general knowledge of office equipment and troubleshooting.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.)
  • Organizational and Multitasking Abilities: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities as well as attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Proven capability to work both independently and collaboratively, showcasing strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Languages: Read, write, and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions.
  • Knowledge of Company Mission and Purpose: Knowledge of the company's mission, purpose, goals, and your role in achieving each of them.
  • Company Training: Satisfactorily complete all company training requirements.
  • Interpreting Company Documents: Ability to interpret company documents and literature.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting: Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
  • CPA or Equivalent Experience: CPA or Equivalent experience required.
  • Progressive Accounting Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
