About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Medical Officer to join our team of infectious disease specialists. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading our team in delivering high-quality medical services.

Located in Lafayette, Indiana, our facility offers a traditional part-time schedule with no weekends or holidays. You can expect an average one night call every other week. Your daily outpatient volume will be around 10-12 patients per day.

You will collaborate with our inpatient ID Physicians and Nurse Practitioners within our Indiana Infectious Disease Department. Strong mentorship opportunities are available, as well as leadership possibilities. Our department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including Full Interventional Radiology, Cardiology, and Gastroenterology Infusion Center onsite, Wound Clinic onsite, and Systemwide OPAT team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with various surgical and medical specialties, including Cancer Center, Cardiovascular Surgery & Orthopedics. Your expertise will play a crucial role in delivering general ID services in a community setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional patient care and lead our team in delivering high-quality medical services
  • Collaborate with inpatient ID Physicians and Nurse Practitioners to ensure seamless patient care
  • Mentor junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to leadership decisions and drive departmental growth and development
About the Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $220,000 - $280,000, depending on experience. A comprehensive benefits package is also included, which may include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
