Shaner Hotels is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at our Edina Residence Inn. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling guest complaints, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
- Handle guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process all check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements.
- Adhere to payment, cash handling, and credit policies/procedures.
- Generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel.
- Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum one year customer service experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
- Computer experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
- Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.
