Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Radiology Technologist to perform a variety of radiologic procedures, including general diagnostic, fluoroscopy, and other specialized exams. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong understanding of radiation safety and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform radiologic procedures, including positioning patients, selecting exposure factors, and providing radiation protection.
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Identify patient and label images, compare requisitions to physician's orders, and process images to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Assist and communicate with radiologists, work independently, and provide technical support to staff.
  • Prepare and maintain records, enter patient and study information into the radiology information system, and document billing codes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide education on managing patients after procedures and imaging department processes.
Requirements:
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
  • Typically requires 2 years of experience in a Radiologic Technologist role.
