Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Cybersecurity Team in assisting federal civilian clients in adhering to Federal cybersecurity standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Act as a proficient technical security advisor and security officer to business stakeholders, providing leadership and hands-on management for the delivery of mission-critical cybersecurity.
  • Oversee multiple cybersecurity programs and manage a team of Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) and assessors.
  • Conduct comprehensive security controls assessments in accordance with NIST Revision 5, from initiation to the submission of all assessment deliverables, including security assessment plans and reports.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding and application of Authorization to Operate (ATO) documentation requirements in all assessment activities.
  • Coordinate testing activities with relevant stakeholders and team leads.
  • Develop tailored security assessment plans with stakeholder input.
  • Lead assessment interviews and manage evidence collection.
  • Collaborate with team leads and client management to create and maintain project plans.
  • Guarantee timely completion of all deliverables with a focus on quality, understanding that these will undergo independent review.
  • Provide insightful recommendations to enhance the client's security posture.
  • Contribute to organizational capability development by offering subject matter expertise on cybersecurity threats and risks.
  • Draft key RMF A&A documents, including System Security Plans and Incident Response Plans.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to ensure high standards in all team deliverables.
  • Offer strategic guidance to enhance the overall security program.
  • Analyze security design and impacts for enterprise operations.
  • Assist in various assessment activities, including A&A security control assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with system stakeholders to facilitate the A&A process.
  • Understand and articulate the security architecture of systems and its integration with the enterprise security framework.
  • Perform continuous monitoring tasks, both technical and documentation-related.
  • Stay updated on evolving audit guidelines and Federal regulations.
  • Lead efforts on Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) remediation and control finding closures.
  • Execute all tasks proficiently while managing time and responsibilities effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality task completion.
  • Manage and coordinate team initiatives to deliver timely and high-quality outputs.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and status reports.
  • Oversee financial, technical, administrative, contractual, and personnel aspects of the contract.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  • Preferred Security Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CAP, or equivalent.
  • Clearance: Must possess Public Trust.
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a Federal agency.
  • 5+ years of experience with Federal Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes.
  • 5+ years of experience in maintaining IT security policies and guidance.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).
  • Proficient understanding of the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, especially NIST Revision 5 security controls.
  • Experience in developing and managing continuous monitoring and POA&M.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and task management capabilities.
  • Ability to convey security requirements to diverse audiences, including management and technical staff.
  • Experience leading assessments and serving as the primary assessor on general support systems.
  • Proficient in using Cyber Security Assessment and Management (CSAM).
  • Must be a US Citizen.
