Medical Transcription Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Transcription Specialist to join our team. This is a per diem position that requires excellent transcription skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with our experienced pathologists and contribute to the efficient processing of patient records.
As a Medical Transcription Specialist, you will be responsible for transcribing physician dictations into accurate and complete medical reports. You will also perform general clerical functions such as pulling slides, filing surgical slides, and scanning documents into patient records.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. You should also be able to operate designated software and equipment with ease.
Our ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with courses in A & P/Medical Terminology. Previous hospital experience in medical record department transcription is preferred.
We offer a competitive salary of $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
