Job Title: Senior Cash Applications Analyst

We process over 11 million tons of waste annually, converting 6.7 million tons into clean, renewable energy that powers 340,000 homes. We also recycle more than 234,000 tons of plastic, paper, and metals from the waste stream.

Job Summary:

The Senior Cash Applications Analyst is responsible for processing all customer payment transactions received through the lockbox and credit card terminals in a timely manner to ensure the accuracy of customer accounts and Accounts Receivable balances.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately and timely process customer cash applications while maintaining appropriate controls and following required policies.
  • Successfully handle the complexities of company lockbox, customer accounts, local cash accounts, and prepaid accounts.
  • Work closely with the Collection Team for all cash application exceptions and queries.
  • Accountable for timely completion of cash application to meet month and quarter-end financial closes.
  • Prepare all lockbox and credit card entries and applicable adjustments to the subsidiary ledgers (AR).
  • Transfer payments/credits across accounts.
  • Provide excellent customer service both internally and externally and research any misapplied payments.
  • Provide training where needed.
  • Provide integration support, including testing and meeting coverage.
  • Knowledge of the more complex process and procedures, including audit, OA movements, refunds, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Function well independently and in a team environment.
  • College Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
