Key Responsibilities:The successful candidate will:
- Conduct a comprehensive study on human dimensions related to wildlife tolerance among urban residents.
- Analyze factors influencing residents' attitudes towards wildlife, including socio-demographic variables.
- Evaluate the perceived impacts of wildlife interactions on community members.
- Assess residents' knowledge and willingness to engage in conflict mitigation strategies.
- Investigate public awareness and trust in wildlife management agencies.
A minimum of a baccalaureate degree in a relevant field is required. Candidates with a Master's or PhD in human dimensions or social sciences are preferred. Experience in survey design and quantitative analysis is essential, along with proficiency in statistical software.
Preferred Skills:Ideal candidates will have:
- Graduate-level coursework in human dimensions theories.
- Experience applying social science methodologies in research contexts.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in regression analysis.
The position involves regular collaboration with the research team and may require travel for data collection and analysis.
