Department Overview:

We are seeking a junior quantitative analyst to join our Equity Derivatives Quantitative team in New York. This team focuses on the modeling of equity derivatives products utilizing numerical methods such as Monte Carlo simulations, finite difference methods, and various optimization techniques. Additionally, the team develops tools to enhance the firm's trading and risk management capabilities for equity derivatives products.

Role Description:
  • Enhance and further develop quantitative models within the existing framework;
  • Provide expert knowledge on financial products;
  • Deliver high-quality work efficiently while managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Required Skills, Experience, Qualifications, and Knowledge:
  • PhD in a relevant field such as science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or statistics;
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience, preferably within a large investment bank;
  • Experience with equity derivatives in a quantitative or model validation capacity;
  • Strong understanding of stochastic calculus;
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt;
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python; C# knowledge is a plus;
  • Familiarity with numerical methods (Monte Carlo, numerical integration, PDE/ODE solving techniques) is advantageous;
  • Ability to collaborate with geographically distributed teams;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts and technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
*Base salary may vary based on individual factors, including market location, corporate and functional title, job-related knowledge, advanced degrees, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional elements such as sign-on bonuses, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards, along with a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits).
