Vermont Law School is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to support our team.

About the Role:

This full-time, non-exempt position requires a regular presence on our campus in South Royalton, Vermont. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and experience working with diverse groups of people.

The Program Coordinator will provide administrative support to faculty teaching courses, organize events, represent key departments to students and across the campus, ensure courses are listed and running smoothly each semester, and assist with social media communications in collaboration with program directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring departmental efficiency by keeping a pulse on student, faculty, and organizational needs.
  • Provide administrative support to faculty teaching courses, including compiling materials, conducting internet searches, managing spreadsheets, and scheduling events.
  • Organize events, represent key departments to students and across the campus, and ensure courses are listed and running smoothly each semester.
  • Assist with social media communications in collaboration with program directors.
  • Support Visiting and Adjunct (Residential and Online) faculty, including logistics, stipends, and coordinating housing for Summer Series faculty.
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with colleagues across institutional departments, including marketing and communications, admissions, the registrar, and career services.
  • Act as coordinating support for online and in-person events and workshops, organizing speakers, planning agendas, and marketing and advertising events.
  • Manage all mailing lists, updating student email lists, partner organization lists, alumni email lists, and faculty email lists.
  • Interface with current and prospective students and collaborate in student services and activities.
  • Maintain basic financial records, process payment vouchers, and manage day-to-day budget processing.
  • Promote the work of key departments with announcements, flyers, newsletters, and social media posts.
  • Coordinate with the marketing and communications team to update and revise key department webpages.

Requirements:

  • A degree is desirable but not required; 3-5 years of professional administrative experience could serve as a substitute.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse groups of people.
  • Excellent organizational and calendar management skills.
  • Ability to maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Program planning and implementation skills.
  • Ability to gather data and compile information.
  • Skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments.
  • Proficiency with basic budgeting software and basic knowledge of budgets and cost estimating and processing.
  • Collaborative, creative, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Solid computer skills, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment; experience with Microsoft Office (365) applications, virtual work environments, and social media applications.
