Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Astronomy Instructor to join our faculty pool. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Astronomy courses at the Valencia or Canyon Country campus, or other college teaching locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Astronomy courses to students of diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and programs
  • Participate in ongoing professional development
Qualifications
  • Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Astronomy
  • OR - Master's degree in physics, astronomy, or astrophysics
  • OR - Any bachelor's degree in physics or astronomy AND master's degree in engineering, mathematics, meteorology, or geophysics
Working Conditions

Assignments may include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes. Adjunct Salary Rate: Starting at $88.30 per hour.
