Job Title: Resident Services Department Lead

We are seeking an experienced and passionate professional to lead our Resident Services Department at the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA). As a key member of our team, you will oversee various programs focused on enhancing the quality of life for residents, including training, development, planning, and implementation.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in program management, leadership, and community outreach. They will be responsible for supervising staff, managing budgets, and fostering partnerships with community organizations to improve services and support for residents.

About the Role:

  • Lead the development and implementation of resident support programs that meet the needs of our diverse population.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal departments and external partners, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure effective use of resources.
  • Supervise staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster partnerships with community organizations to enhance services and support for residents.
  • Represent AMHA at various events, meetings, and workshops, promoting our mission and goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, sociology, communications, psychology, or public administration/affairs.
  • Three to five years of experience in program management, leadership, and community outreach.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and insurable under AMHA's policies.
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and familiarity with case management databases.

Estimated Salary: $62,300 - $75,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
