About the Job

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems is seeking an Advanced Pediatric Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating complex health problems in individuals, families, or communities.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist the healthcare team in preventing illness and injury, maintaining wellness, and providing comfort
  • Continuously perform interventions used in basic nursing practice, with a greater depth and breadth of knowledge, synthesis of data, and complexity of skills and intervention
  • Make clinical decisions in collaboration with physicians and prioritize daily activities
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program specific to the area of practice
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Licensure, certification, or registration requirements for hire, including current RN licensure in Virginia and prescriptive authority when required
