We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Signal Processing Engineer Intern at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and applying advanced algorithms that intelligently fuse active, passive, multi-band, and multi-static sensor data. Your contributions will play a critical role in enabling our nation to far out-pace its adversaries.

Job Description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects, including the development and analysis of novel signal and data processing algorithms for detection, tracking, and characterization of sophisticated threats. You will also collaborate with a highly diverse team of engineers, physicists, mathematicians, and computer scientists to optimize multi-sensor architectures and define the sensor integration, tasking, and coordination required to obtain high-quality fused multi-domain targeting information from multi-spectral and multi-mode sensor capabilities.

Qualifications
  • Pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, Applied Physics, Applied Math, Math, or another related technical field
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Strong problem-solving/analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

We offer a competitive salary range of $21.90-$46.45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
