Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing vascular exams on patients according to established protocols. This role requires strong customer service and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform vascular exams on patients according to established protocols
  • Instruct and educate patients regarding the ordered test and prepare them for the procedure
  • Use hospital and department information systems to complete patient testing records and billing procedures
  • Maintain equipment in designated testing areas
  • Demonstrate customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Serve as a mentor for ultrasound students
  • Complete department competencies in required timeframes
  • Attend required meetings and participate on committees as requested
  • Operate required vehicles in a safe manner to perform required duties of the position
Qualifications
  • Successful completion of an accredited two-year Ultrasonography or Radiologic Technologist program or meet the educational requirements of the ARDMS for ultrasound training
  • Registered or registry eligible by the ARDMS. Maintain active registry status in ARRT and/or ARDMS
  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three months of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained by the end of the orientation period (approximately six weeks)
  • Valid Iowa Driver's/Chauffeurs License required, must meet Mercy's Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, must be at least 18 years of age and be eligible to drive per Iowa state law
