POSITION OVERVIEW:


The Sales Associate engages in various Selling and Customer Service activities, which include warmly welcoming and assisting all customers in a timely and friendly manner, carefully handling merchandise, and providing valuable information and guidance to shoppers.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Demonstrates a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, ensuring a pleasant and efficient shopping experience for every customer.

  • Engages customers by showcasing products effectively.
  • Restocks shelves according to Merchandising standards as needed.
  • Maintains expertise in product knowledge through continuous training.
  • Stays informed about promotional sales and ensures accurate pricing and signage.
  • Assists with the arrangement of seasonal merchandise on the sales floor.
  • Restores stock levels as necessary.
  • Keeps the work area organized, clean, and well-supplied.
  • Adheres to all Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Delivers a memorable experience for every customer by helping them make informed purchasing decisions through:
    • Identifying and assessing customer needs,
    • Offering tailored product recommendations,
    • Promoting programs such as CLUB Membership and In-Store Pick-up.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education Required:
High School diploma or equivalent experience

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to calculate discounts and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers, and customers.
  • Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale system.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Constantly stand and/or walk during shifts.
  • Occasionally climb or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
  • Regularly communicate with others to exchange information.
  • Occasionally perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools.
  • Occasionally drive vehicles or operate heavy equipment.
  • Light work that involves moving objects up to 20 pounds frequently, and occasionally lifting objects up to 100 pounds or more (using team lift as necessary).

INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT:
Performs tasks under general supervision, following established procedures and employing creativity. Selects from limited options to address issues.
