Job Summary

Under the direction of the Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist and in association with the radiologists, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting their colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care.

The technologist performs services in accordance with an accepted standard of practice and demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patient, self, and other members of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Conducts nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  • Operates and maintains nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.
  • State of FL Certified Radiologic Technologist.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist license.
  • ARRT(N) through ARRT or CNMT through NMTCB.
  • BLS.
Requirements
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
