Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Intercompany & Tax Accounting to oversee and manage accounting activities related to inter-company transactions and prepare consolidated financial statements. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls for inter-company transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal guidelines.
  • Monitor and reconcile inter-company balances and transactions, including inter-company loans, sales, purchases, and expense allocations.
  • Collaborate with various departments and subsidiaries to resolve inter-company discrepancies and ensure accurate and timely recording of inter-company transactions.
  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Coordinate with subsidiary accounting teams to collect and review financial information necessary for consolidation.
  • Perform analysis and reconciliation of inter-company balances and elimination entries to ensure accurate consolidation of financial results.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, reflecting the consolidated financial performance of the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and GAAP in the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to inter-company transactions and consolidated financial statements.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls in compliance with SOX requirements, including documentation of control processes, testing, and remediation activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify key control points and potential weaknesses in financial processes and systems.
  • Lead tax accounting oversight, ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and strategic planning.
  • Manage the preparation and review of tax provisions and associated documentation, including financial disclosures.
  • Provide guidance to accounting team, advising on tax implications of business decisions, and staying updated on tax laws.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and advisors to resolve tax issues efficiently and maintain compliance.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient PC skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, database management systems.
  • Intermediate level Excel knowledge.
  • Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Accounting knowledge and experience.
  • Bilingual in Korean (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 8-13 years of direct experience in accounting.
  • 10-15 years of direct experience in accounting (preferred).
  • 4-7 years of supervisory experience (preferred).
  • CPA license (preferred).
