Your Role and Impact

Strategic Development and Client Relations

  • Formulate and execute detailed SEO strategies that align with the business objectives of clients.
  • Conduct thorough research on findability, competitive landscapes, and market dynamics to guide strategic decisions.
  • Act as the primary liaison for key client accounts, ensuring engagement success and satisfaction focused on SEO.
  • Deliver SEO strategies, performance reports, and results that resonate with broader business goals in a compelling manner.

Implementation, Optimization, and Analytics

  • Oversee the deployment of comprehensive SEO initiatives, including technical SEO, content enhancement, link acquisition, and related services.
  • Leverage advanced SEO tools and analytics platforms to monitor, evaluate, and report on campaign effectiveness.
  • Identify growth opportunities and implement enhancements to improve SEO-focused initiatives.
  • Prepare and present detailed SEO, SERP, and discoverability reports, including performance metrics and actionable insights.
  • Utilize data-driven analysis to assess the success of SEO initiatives and inform future strategies.

Leadership, Team Development, and Collaboration

  • Guide, mentor, and cultivate a team of SEO professionals, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Establish clear objectives and performance standards for the SEO team, conducting regular evaluations.
  • Create and provide training resources to enhance SEO practices for client engagements.
  • Lead cross-departmental teams with resources from various divisions to deliver cohesive digital marketing strategies.

Business Development and Marketing Support

  • Develop integrated go-to-market strategies that incorporate SEO and other Hearst offerings into comprehensive client solutions.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in SEO within agency or brand environments.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role managing direct reports.

Skills and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of SEO principles, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Strong analytical capabilities; ability to derive insights from data and take appropriate actions.
  • Results-oriented with a solid understanding of business dynamics.
  • Proficient in web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics.
  • Fundamental knowledge of technical SEO, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web design technologies.
  • Experience in business development processes, including client discovery and proposal development.
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with excellent analytical, time management, and project management skills.
  • Experience in SEO business development or budgeting.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and clients effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint being a plus.
