As a Regional IT Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our client-server system, ensuring seamless support for our users across multiple sites.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain all on-site computer equipment, including personal computers, peripherals, servers, wireless equipment, and printers.
- Provide technical assistance and training to system users, ensuring they have the necessary skills to effectively utilize our systems.
- Participate in needs assessments, product evaluations, security administration, implementation planning, conversion planning and verification, testing, troubleshooting, and training.
- Support and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
- Coordinate with corporate implementations on providing local technical assistance for office moves, new site implementations, and office expansions.
- Perform local help desk functions, including answering general questions, remote troubleshooting, coordinating with the corporate help desk on issues, and logging or reporting problems.
- Some incumbents may maintain documentation on warranty, configuration, and other records for local computer equipment.
- Coordinate with telephone equipment providers and/or carriers, expediting phone system repairs and/or updates in coordination with corporate telecommunication teams.
- Keep management informed of project status and issues through routine written reports.
- Respect work areas at site locations, ensuring they are clean and free of debris when work is complete.
- Complete tasks, including testing workstations to ensure processes are functioning properly and to the satisfaction of the customer.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree in Information Systems, business, or a related technical field is required. A+, Network+, or other hardware certifications are preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in support of Windows-based systems and other business applications, preferably in a healthcare environment, is required. Experience in support of enterprise resource planning systems, standard desktop applications (MS Office, McAfee Antivirus, internet browsers, email), associated hardware platforms and peripherals, remote troubleshooting, and mobile computing is also preferred.
