About the Inventory Management Team

As a member of the Inventory Planning organization, you will play a crucial role in strategically managing inventory levels to enhance sales performance, optimize inventory turnover, and achieve financial objectives within your designated area. Our inventory associates are forward-thinkers, problem solvers, and innovators who continuously seek ways to advance our business. You will work collaboratively with various business functions to support a product strategy that aligns with our customers' needs.

Overview of the Distribution Planner Role

In this position, you will oversee the allocation functions, systems, and processes essential for maintaining optimal inventory levels across our stores. This includes the distribution of inventory from our centers to retail locations using our existing systems. You will report directly to the Director of Distribution.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and utilize store allocation systems effectively. Ensure that stores achieve and maintain optimal in-stock levels, service standards, and inventory turnover objectives. Establish system parameters, profiles, and safety stock levels to meet store and item availability goals. Oversee the setup and maintenance of the allocation system to guarantee timely processing of merchandise. Plan and execute inventory allocations to support visual merchandising and specific store requirements. Utilize computer systems and communicate effectively with team members. Handle materials and equipment, including lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds on occasion.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in retail planning and distribution. Excellent communication skills. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with field and corporate partners. A proactive self-starter who takes initiative. Maintains a sense of urgency aligned with current business needs. Creative and innovative thinker with strong problem-solving skills. Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Proficient in Excel. Bachelor's degree preferred. Ability to work onsite during the week with flexibility for remote work.
