Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at The Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Apply technical judgment to obtain studies of acceptable diagnostic quality
  • Process images and perform imaging enhancements according to protocol
  • Provide patient education and inform patients of nature of procedure
  • Properly identify patients and review control sheets or electronic records
  • Ensure all MRI images are appropriately labeled and participate in quality improvement activities
  • Perform MRI contrast injection and supervise radiology students
  • Inform personnel of needed equipment repairs or unsafe conditions
  • Perform related clerical duties and attend in-service meetings
  • Perform post-processing of MRI images and additional duties as required
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum of two (2) years prior experience
  • Prior experience interacting with Hospital vendors and regulatory agencies helpful
  • Ability to read and write in English and good communication skills
  • Ability to fully utilize OBH's electronic record systems and equipment
  • NYS Radiologic Technologist License and ARRT MRI Certified
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds and assist with patient maneuvering
