Data Center Technician Job Description

Motion Recruitment Partners is seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and certifying fiber optic cabling for a large data center project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and inspect fiber optic cabling
  • Certify fiber optic cabling using Tier I Loss test equipment
  • Use fiber optic scopes to inspect connector end faces
  • Understand data center cabling standards and best practices
  • Lift at least 50 lbs. and climb up to 10 ft. ladders

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience working with fiber optic cabling and testing
  • Basic knowledge of fiber optic cable types and connector types
  • Core skills: proper installation and handling of fiber optic cabling
