Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Performance Analyst to join our Performance Reporting Group (PRG) in Coral Gables, London, or Boston. This role will involve analyzing, evaluating, providing insights, and summarizing the performance of our investments, portfolios, and funds for internal constituents and existing/potential investors. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Capital Formation, Deal Teams, Investor Reporting and Services, Accounting, Operations, Valuation, and Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities:

Calculate gross, net, and pro forma IRRs, TWRs, Multiples, and other performance and financial statistics/ratiosMaintain, own, and prepare attribution reports, investor reports, performance metrics reports, and track recordsEngage directly with senior leadership, capital formation, and deal teams to produce valuable insightsDevelop/enhance data extracts and report templates to aggregate data efficiently for analysisConduct ad hoc and pro forma analytics at the investment, portfolio, and fund level as neededAssist with special projects to standardize/enrich data across the platform for meaningful reportingActively monitor investment/fund performance to ensure accurate reflection in reportsModel fund/strategy returns with pro forma/sensitivity analyses for Deal Teams/Senior Management

Requirements & Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in finance, business analytics, or investment operations, preferably in financial services
  • An Accounting, Finance, or STEM degree with a strong academic record and/or advanced certifications (e.g., CFA)
  • Experience calculating performance and financial ratios for private equity, private credit, and/or real asset portfolios
  • Familiarity with Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) is a plus
  • Distressed debt/direct lending experience, specifically term loans, revolvers, total return swaps, mezzanine debt, and public/private bonds, is advantageous
  • Advanced Excel skills, able to conceptualize, develop, and enhance/modifying complex models
  • Strong data/systems skills, capable of working with large data sets and using tools to extract/aggregated/manipulate data accurately and efficiently
  • Able to take full ownership/accountability of work product and lead by example in attitude, attention to detail, urgency, process improvement, and quality of work
  • Strong planning/organizational skills with adaptability to new challenges in a dynamic environment while handling multiple projects
  • Effective communication skills (verbal/written) to engage with senior team members/external parties and build relationships across departments
  • Self-motivated problem solver with strong critical reasoning, analytical, and detail-oriented attributes; ability to think creatively
  • Team player with a positive attitude; willing to roll up sleeves in delivering results within tight deadlines in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to multitask/change agility with an evolving workload and communicate upwards when competing priorities arise
  • Familiarity with FIS VPM, Investran, and IVP Polaris or similar portfolio accounting systems is a plus
