Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our Imaging and Radiology team at Rochester Regional Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality images while providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a consistent level of quality.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in diagnostic medical sonography and be certified as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). You will be responsible for performing ultrasound scans, producing high-quality images, and assisting attending physicians with invasive procedures under sonographic guidance.
Responsibilities- Perform abdominal, vascular, OB/GYN, and/or transcranial Doppler ultrasound scans
- Produce high-quality ultrasound images and obtain all required measurements
- Assist attending physicians with invasive procedures under sonographic guidance
- Document performance of scans in patient charts and complete preliminary reporting
- Phone preliminary reports to doctor's offices or nursing floors at the request of the Radiologist
- Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate or Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification required (within six months of graduation from an accredited program, within one year of graduation from a non-accredited program)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of quality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Rochester Regional Health offers a competitive salary range of $32.00 to $40.00 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including pension and retirement plans, advancement opportunities, employee discounts, and certification pay.
